Amed hotel and lodging guide

Relax in leafy atriums within five star resorts
There is a commendable variety of places to stay in the Amed area with a fairly good choice in all price brackets. The most developed village is Lipah Beach which has many cheap home stays and a few villas and plush five star beach hotels. There are options all along the coast spread out from Amed all the way to Aas.
Virtually all the dive operators have attached accommodation and good value deals are usually available to guests taking scuba courses. However, there is little in the way of real low budget dive resort accommodation. Out of high season (June - July) there are bargains to be found if you put in a little legwork, with the best way just to hire a motorbike and cruise around looking for the best price.
All Amed accommodation is located on the coast road, generally in large garden compounds and even the cheapest options often have sea views. Most Amed guest houses also have attached restaurants beside the beach. For basic bungalow accommodation in Amed with cold water and ceiling fan, you can expect to pay around rp100,000 a night.
Five star comforts can be had in Amed resorts for upwards of rp800,000. For this you should get a stylish air con detached bungalow, use of a swimming pool and perhaps a spa on site. See our guide to the best Amed accommodation below.
