Book into a fabulous resort with infinity pool
There is a wide choice of accommodation in all price ranges spread out along the Candi Dasa seafront with the highest concentration to be found in the east of the resort. There are plenty of cheap guest houses located around the lagoon and Forest Road although prices are generally a little more expensive than nearby Padang Bai. For the best value, consider going without a sea view and stay along the main resort road where prices start from around rp80,000 for a double room.
The adjacent village of Senkidu also has a fair selection of budget accommodation and from here the further west you go sees a step up in quality and price. The leafy village of Manggis is renowned for having east Bali’s most lavish resorts where you can expect to pay upwards of rp1million a night for stylish deluxe cottages and private villas.
There are also many mid-priced boutique bungalow resorts throughout Candi Dasa set in shady coconut groves or along the seafront. Amenities range from swimming pools, diving centres, spas and good quality restaurants and standards are generally high.
Prices can vary widely depending on the location and you may pay a premium for an unrestricted sea view. Sindhu Brata
Situated by the lagoon in central Candi Dasa. This modern family run place has detached bungalows with a choice or fan or air conditioning. All rooms are set around a lotus pond in a lovely tropical garden and offer comfort and style that is well worth the money. Puri Oka
Another excellent cheap option situated close to the bars and restaurants and right on the beach. Rooms are bright and airy with cold water bathrooms and ceiling fan and a choice of double or twin rooms go for rp200,000.
