Dine with the sand between your toes in Candi Dasa

Candi Dasa has an excellent range of dining with something to suit every conceivable taste and budget. There are numerous eateries specialising in grilled seafood or authentic Italian pizza and more than enough cheap Indonesian cafes for diners watching their rupiah. There are also a few gastronomic treats in store for more discerning diners in elegant five star surroundings.

The most atmospheric places are situated along the beachfront although in general you will get better value at one of the many restaurants situated on the main high street.

Several of these often have good value set meals and weekly buffet nights. The range of atmosphere is quite varied with some places laying on Balinese dancing while others show big screen movies or sports on TV.

Nightlife in Candi Dasa is a far cry from all action Kuta in south Bali and all is pretty quiet after midnight. Most diners linger on in restaurants after a meal with a few drinks before heading home, although there are a few vibrant spots with live bands. See our recommendations below of the best places to eat and drink in Candi Dasa.
